Living in Love and Faith Lent Course; Vintage Café; Building Faith in our Pre-Teens and Teenagers; Beacon Activity Centre Youth Trip…
Revd Canon Sally and other members of the ministry team will host a 5 week exploration of ‘Living in Love and Faith’ on Wednesday evenings beginning on 9th March. The sessions will be held in St Mary’s Church, Marshfield so that we can use the large TV for the video content.
This important course will enable us to look at what it means to be human, and to explore Christian teaching and learning about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage.
The 5 sessions of the course each address a key question:
- What does it mean to learn together as followers of Jesus Christ?
- How does our identity in Christ relate to sex and gender?
- What kinds of relationships does God call us to?
- Where do our bodies and sex fit in to all of this?
- How do diversity and difference affect our life together as a church?
Each session includes an opening reflection about learning together, followed by teaching, time for discussion and Bible study. The sessions end with an invitation to reflect on our learning, bringing it to God in prayer.

…for those in later years
This is restarting after being put on hold due to pandemic restrictions. Vintage Café will be a regular monthly event on the 1st Monday of each month, in Marshfield Church Hall from 12.30pm-2.00pm.
Open to all, come and join us for a light lunch and a light touch ‘Thought for the Day’ from a Christian perspective. The main focus of Vintage Café is to provide somewhere welcoming to enjoy company for an afternoon of shared activities – starting with food.
A warm welcome awaits you!
Please contact Rev. Lynne Godfrey on 01249 446734 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in coming along or just want further details.
If your son or daughter would like to explore faith further, Phil and Jules Collis will be running a 5-week course (the lower age limit is 11/12 years old) in March on a Sunday evening.
The 5 sessions will look at the basics of the Christian faith in a relevant way. Please talk to your son/daughter to encourage them and let Rev. Sally, Phil or Jules know who is interested. This will also serve as a Confirmation course for those who would like to be confirmed in St Mary’s Marshfield on 16th May 2022.
Marshfield Church is taking over 20 8-11’s and 12-16’s to the Beacon Activity Centre in North Devon from 1st – 3rd April. For further details, please speak to Revd. Sally on 01225 892180 or via email: Marshfield.email@example.com
